PowerPoint for Presentations

The following are perfect examples of how NOT to do PowerPoint (use for educational purposes but avoid the many mistakes in these slides)!

Three PPTs from OWL

OWL is the Online Writing Lab from Purdue University in the United States. The OWL website at http://owl.english.purdue.edu/ has lots of information about doing all kinds of academic writing, including essay-writing and, of course, PowerPoint presentations. Here are three PPTs from OWL that tell you how to make PPTs:

Effective Presentation

Effective Presentation from Victor Chen of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University gives you some guidelines about what to do and what not to do when designing your PPT:

Model PPT Presentations

Here are a couple of the best presentations from last year's classes:

Angela Shi - presentation to Coca Cola stockholders
Rita Xie - presentation to Walt Disney theme park and hotel customers

Use this checklist to make sure you have included everything in your presentation:
